The Marlaug shirt is made of nicely draping cupro in the Noppa pattern. The shirt has a concealed zipper in the back seam. The hemline has a rounded cut and side slits. The straight shirt has a slim fit.
Cupro is an artificial fibre made from cellulose that requires less water, fertilizers, and pesticides to grow than for example cotton.
Prints designed by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, who worked at Marimekko from 1953 to 1960, represent timeless Marimekko design at its core. The rhythmic Noppa (dice) check design is one of many of her patterns that have maintained their popularity decade after decade.
