This cotton fabric features the Isot Kivet Näkki pattern, which is printed in Helsinki.
The Isot kivet Näkki print is a beautiful fusion of two Maija Isola designs from different decades. In the pattern, large shapes combine with frequent stripes.
The Kivet (stones) design builds on circles cut with scissors. The pattern was most likely inspired by the big rough-edged stones that were manually cleared from the designer’s atelier home’s grounds.
